Steve został DJem w 1990 roku. Od 1995 do 2002 był rezydentem w największej dyskotece w swoim rodzinnym mieście. Od 1999 roku do 2001 Murano produkował swoje pierwsze dwa kawałki: "FIESTA" oraz "DO THE RIGHT THING". Na końcu 2001 roku wyprodukował piosenkę "STATION" przy pomocy dwóch kolegów a zarazem przyjacieli: Jens Maiwald i Tobias Fiedler. Właśnie ten utwór - STATION , był pierwszym tym typowym "MURANOSOUND".
Na początku 2002 roku nadszedł czas na kolejne sukcesy, tym razem Steve Murano wraz z utworem
"Station" zajmował wysokie miejsca na niemieckiej Dance Charts. Kilka dni po awansie produkcji "Station", utwór ten stał się hitem granym w niemieckich dyskotekach, wkrótce na całym świecie. W czerwcu 2002 roku utwór "Station" został wydany na vinylu za sprawą labelu Kontor Records. Po krótkim czasie "Station" został wydany na czarnym krążku wraz z wieloma znakomitymi remiksami, których podjął się m.in. Boozywoozy. Pod koniec 2002 roku Kontor Records wydał Set Murano, który sprzedał się w bardzo licznym nakładzie i zawierał kompilację remisów, utworów S.M. a także kawałki z Jego tracklisty.
Klubowicze na całym świecie zakochali się w charakterystycznych brzmieniach jakie preferuje Steve. Rok 2003 - zostaje wydany przez Murano kolejny
singiel - "PASSION", który także zostaje "wypuszczony" na czarnej vinylowej płycie. Jakiś czas później Steve remisuje utwór Dark Monks - Insane, który też staje się
"petardą". Wydany na czarnym krążku sprzedaje się w tysiącach egzemplarzy.
